Murray Findlater

Celebrating over a 100 year of valuation in New Zealand, This is part of a series of video interviews with people looking back at valuation in New Zealand. Murray was one of the first Rural Field Cadets in 1941 studying at Lincoln College. On completion of the Diploma in Valuation and Farm Management, Murray was posted to the Maori Affairs Department with later positions including Farm Supervisor-Valuer and Branch Manager of national rural companies. Murray was awarded an Institute Fellowship in 1977 and appointed to the government Land Valuation Committee. He has contributed over 15 years to the Taranaki Branch Committee and is now retired.
